Steven Katleman, veteran entertainment attorney and founder of Katleman Media Law, provides legal, business and strategic advice and counsel connection with creating, producing and deploying content and maximizing its value in all media, whether for entertainment, sports, branding, promotion or otherwise.

Some of Steve’s clients include media companies, talent and other individuals and entities that provide rights and services for projects across virtually all types of entertainment and media activities and platforms, including television, motion pictures, digital productions, sports and live events.  Steve has special expertise in branding, entertainment/sports marketing, sponsorships and endorsements, merchandising and publishing. Steve often acts as “outside general counsel” to independent producers, marketers and the like, providing legal and strategic advice to senior management.

The broad overview of the industry and the wealth of practical experience that Steve has developed has given him the skills and savvy to structure and negotiate novel, complex and multi-disciplinary matters during this time of rapid structural and economic change in the industry.

After years of practicing at a large international law firm, Steve found that the time was right to pivot to a boutique-type business model that would enable him to be more nimble in assisting clients with navigating the ongoing transformative changes in the industry.  He continues to offer the same degree of excellence and value in a more cost-effective manner by reducing “big firm” overhead costs.
